Seat's new IBE concept car provided the thrills on the Spanish firm's stand at the 2010 Geneva motor show. Although more about the tech than the design, the IBE does drop a few clues to the next Leon family.It's based on the running gear of the new Leon and packs a 75kW electric engine capable of daily use around town thanks to lithium ion batteries with 18kWh capacity. The IBE is a classic 2+2 shooting brake design and is teeny tiny; at 3780mm long, it's 10 inches shorter than an Ibiza supermini.Seat IBE concept car: the electrical gubbins The IBE packs an electric motor under bonnet driving the front wheels and fed by rear-mounted batteries.
Lamborghini Veneno Roadster
When the first photo of the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster – the open-top take on the Veneno, revealed earlier this year – appeared online yesterday, it seemed likely we’d soon get the official reveal from Sant’agata. And here it is. The Veneno Roadster is another part of Lamborghini’s 50th anniversary celebrations and represents the extremes of what the marque can do.
Mercedes-Benz has selected the twin turbocharged 5.5-liter V8 engine to power the recently unveiled S63 AMG, CL63 AMG and CLS63 AMG, with ratings between 525 hp and 577 hp. But it's going to be a different story for the successor to the SLK55 AMG set to be revealed at next year's Frankfurt motor show. Sources within the Stuttgart headquarters suggest the new performance roadster is earmarked to receive a yet-to-be revealed naturally aspirated version of Mercedes-Benz's new 5.5-liter V8.
